The African Business
Show (SADA)

Created in 2022 in Algeria, SADA is an economic connection platform dedicated to bringing African ecosystems closer together and developing cooperation between operators across the continent. It brings together companies, public institutions, financial partners and economic-diplomacy actors, in a setting conducive to professional exchanges and the emergence of joint initiatives.

A PLATFORM FOR INTRA-AFRICAN EXCHANGES

From a bilateral meeting to a space for intra-African exchanges, SADA promotes a horizontal dialogue: participants get to know one another, present their capacities, needs and projects, and identify cooperation leads within a structured setting.

An initiative aligned with continental ambitions

SADA is consistent with major continental initiatives such as the AfCFTA, the African Union and its Agenda 2063, or the IATF, positioning itself as a complementary relay at the regional level.

Why an African Business Show?

ALGERIA, A REGIONAL CONNECTION HUB

SADA is part of a momentum in which Algeria is strengthening its economic openness towards Africa and consolidating its production capacities. Its geographic position, industrial capacities and developing economic infrastructure support a logic of connection and circulation of opportunities between African markets and Mediterranean areas.

A high-potential continent, trade still held back

Potential

  • Around 1.4 billion inhabitants, mostly young and growing.
  • Rapid urbanisation in several regions.
  • Gradual implementation of the AfCFTA.
  • Political will for African economic integration.
  • Sustained growth in many African economies.
  • Significant needs in infrastructure, industrialisation and services.
  • Growth of startups and innovation across several markets.
  • Growing interest in regional value chains and South–South partnerships.

Challenges

  • Fragmented markets and inconsistent regulatory frameworks.
  • Complex logistics and high transport costs.
  • Mutual unfamiliarity with available capacities and offers.
  • Limited access to financing for many SMEs.
  • Lack of visibility on reliable, structured contacts.
  • Scarcity of genuinely pan-African matchmaking platforms.
  • Information asymmetry between economic operators and institutions.

Active economic diplomacy

A setting supported by the presence of diplomatic actors. Since its first editions, SADA has benefited from the involvement of more than 23 African embassies, helping to provide a secure institutional framework that complements the commercial dimension.

Partnerships & co-development

Our vision

Evolving from an annual show into a permanent ecosystem for accelerating African business, built around B2B meetings, support programmes and a structured pan-African network.

Development priorities

  • Deploy and consolidate the Export Village as an entry point for export procedures (banking, insurance, logistics, customs, institutional support).
  • Roll out Africa Pitch to give regular visibility to the production capacities and projects of African companies.
  • Build an SME & startup Hub with public and private partners, to support companies beyond the show.
  • Expand and deepen the country network, drawing on embassies, chambers of commerce and employers' organisations.
  • Position SADA as an operational link between continental frameworks (AfCFTA, Agenda 2063, regional initiatives) and the concrete needs of economic operators.

Our approach

We aim to involve institutions, investors and experts in SADA's next step, drawing on an active network across several countries and a clear ambition to build, with pioneering partners, a credible and sustainable SADA 365 ecosystem.

If you would like to:

  • explore an institutional or financial partnership around SADA 365,
